Dear Friends in Christ,
After learning about the history of the Underground Railroad tunnels in our basement, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude to God for placing me in a church that has lived out God’s love and mercy in such a tangible way. What a blessing to be part of a congregation with a legacy of courage and compassion.
With my background in history, especially Civil Rights history, stories of dismantling slavery, racism, and oppression have always been close to my heart. They are a large part of what led me to become a pastor. I believe the Church is called to take bold risks so that all people know they are made in God’s image and have sacred worth.
Speaking of history, I have truly enjoyed the listening sessions we’ve been having. Hearing your stories and your deep love for this church is such a gift to me. I have added more dates and evening times so we can connect. You can find the sign-up sheet in the Gathering Area. I look forward to our conversations and to learning more about what makes this congregation so special.
Many blessings,
Pastor Angie
