Dear Friends in Christ,
One of the great challenges of our time is learning how to love across divides.
Whether it’s politics, theology, or simply different life experiences, it is easy
to withdraw from those we don’t agree with. Yet the call of Christ is clear:
“Love your neighbor.”
Throughout history, there have been those who have reminded us that love
often begins with curiosity. From ancient philosophers to early apostles to
modern-day teachers, the thread is the same: asking thoughtful questions
and listening deeply creates space for understanding. Love grows when we
resist the urge to argue and instead lean in with patience, kindness, and a
genuine desire to know the other person’s story.
Together, they point us toward a way of relating that is not about winning
arguments, but about building relationships. Sometimes the most loving
thing we can do is simply ask a question and truly listen to the answer.
As we seek to love across divides, my hope is we practice curiosity, patience,
and grace.
See you Sunday!
